Steve M. Hays, PE, CIH, FACEC, Chairman
Steve Hays is a partner and chairman of the board of Gobbell Hays Partners, Inc. (GHP), which provides architectural and environmental consulting services to a client base that spans from Aruba to Anchorage. A certified industrial hygienist, Hays has a background in building systems, the chemical industry and is experienced in dealing with the hazards of the built environment.
Before joining the company in 1978, Hays served as senior engineer at E.I. DuPont Company. He is a licensed professional engineer in nine states, as well as in Ireland. His experience includes mold assessment and remediation in healthcare, commercial and educational facilities, as well as private residences. Hays has served as Chairman of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Board of Directors, Vice Chairman of the Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board, President of The Environmental Information Association and President of the Consulting Engineers of Tennessee.
