Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program
Client: Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County
Location: Nashville, TN
Project: Metro Nashville contracted with Gobbell Hays Partners, Inc. (GHP) who teamed with Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI), to perform an energy audit of select facilities which identified energy conservation measures that will save Metro Nashville approximately $4.5 million in energy costs over the next 15 years.
Details Include:
• GHP and JCI also assisted Metro Nashville in evaluating Green Ribbon Committee items for eligibility with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) Program. This included evaluation of building retrofits such as geothermal systems, solar photovoltaics, as well as the design and implementation of a green roof. Ultimately, GHP and JCI provided assistance in writing the strategy document and budget worksheets that describe the various projects that would be developed as a part of the grant.
