Location: Nashville, TN

Project: GHP’s skilled architectural studio designed the $2.1 million, 22,000 square-foot Madison Branch Library (TN) to reflect the local character of the community, with rich masonry and locally quarried field stone.

Details Include:
• A 9’-0” magic wardrobe entrance and children’s reading/story-telling area inspired by C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
• Site-dictated linear plan that provides visual continuity of total space and several acres of undisturbed green space
• Contemporary design with an open, airy floor plan that is both user-friendly and functional
• Use of traditional materials blended with modern sculptural forms
• Creative design continues to be applauded by library users
