Project: After heavy storms struck a 13-story resort hotel owned by Marriott, the environmental expertise of Gobbell Hays Partners was enlisted to provide project management and design for the safe removal of moisture-contaminated building materials and finishes from the hotel’s interior.
Details Include:
• The assessment of damage resulting from the flooding of ventilation shafts and other building materials due to storms during construction and due to an incomplete building envelope
• Conducting thorough field investigations and visual moisture assessments and reviewing corrective action plans developed by the General Contractor
• Carefully inspecting remediation and final cleaning tasks associated with moisture compromised in building substrates
• Providing recommendations for the Corrective Action Plan implemented by the General Contractor
• Creating a comprehensive Operations and Maintenance Plan to proactively and reactively fight moisture growth at the facility
