Nashville State Community College – Phase I & II Laboratory Renovations Bldg A

Client: Tennessee Board of Regents

Location: Nashville, TN

Project: As a result of a needs assessment performed by Gobbell Hays Partners, the Tennessee Board of Regents commissioned GHP with the entire renovation of Building A on the NSCC campus into teaching laboratories.

Details Include:
• Upgrade of accessory spaces (such as toilets and corridors) in the building.
• First phase completed for Fall 2005 school term, with second phase scheduled for Fall 2006 classes
• Each project was on an accelerated time schedule and each project was successfully completed on time and under budget
• GHP used their laboratory planning and design expertise to provide the following laboratory spaces:
• Two Mock Operating Room Suites for instruction of Surgical Tech candidates
• Biotechnology Laboratory
• Separate Organic and Inorganic Chemistry Laboratories
• Separate Biology and Microbiology Laboratories
• Two Anatomy & Physiology Laboratories
• Each of the dual laboratory configurations was provided with common equipment, prep and storage rooms
